TO FLY ...

A man found the cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared.
He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as he struggled to pass his body through that little hole.
Then it seemed that most did not make any progress. It appeared as if out for the best he could and could not advance further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and divided into two part of the cocoon still closed. The butterfly emerged easily. But he had a swollen body and small shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because expected that at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expanded so as to be able to support the body, which would, in the meantime, deflated. Nothing happened! In fact the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. He was never able to fly.
What the man in his hasty kindness did not realize was that the narrowness of the cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly come out of that small opening, so were the Divine to flow fluids from the body of the butterfly to its wings, so that would be able to fly, once he finally won freedom, out of the cocoon.
Sometimes the "fight" (the effort needed to overcome the problems) is exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, we "cripple."
We'd never be as strong as we could.
We could never fly!
